Missa

May 30 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

£14

Described as a “Formidable presence in the world of Choral music”, the Phoenix Consort is pleased to announce its next choral concert, taking place at St. Peter Mancroft, Norwich on May 30th (17:30).

‘Missa’, meaning “mass” is a celebration of the golden age of choral polyphony in Europe, particularly that of England and Spain. The concert will showcase the sacred works of renowned composers such as William Byrd and Thomas Tallis, to European giants such as Victoria and Morales, whose work will center the program. We’ll sing well known works such as “If ye love me” and “Versa est in Luctum” and also rediscover some lesser known choral gems, buried in time. The concert will end with some reimaginations of renaissance works by contemporary composers.

We look forward to welcoming you to the beautiful St. Peter Mancroft on May 30th, 17:30.
