Il est bel et bon – Pierre Passereau (1490-1547) Emulating the style of predecessor Janequin, Passereau’s chanson was supposedly a popular hit on the streets of Venice. It features Passereau’s trademark nonsense syllables to emulate the sounds of chickens, or in fact gossiping.
